In the last five years drug-related crimes and deaths have become increasingly more common in southeastern Kentucky, an area that had a relatively low crime rate before the prescription drug epidemic took hold. As people watch the changes taking place in their communities, its hard not to notice that prescription drugs have become a part of every person’s life, in some way, or another. Even so, there are a lot of unanswered questions surrounding the problem. Seth Gover thinks they need to be answered before his community can find a solution. In this piece Seth gathers three different perspectives on what the drug problem is.
