A Look Back – (just over the week)
Today was my birthday, so I'm a little late posting, but here it goes…
Okay, so in just a week, so much has transpired in Arts & Entertainment: Michael Phelps, 23-year-old Olympic swimmer, is in hot water after photographs were released of him taking several draws from a glass bong while at a college party in South Carolina. This week he received a 3-month suspension from USA Swimming. He also lost his Kellogg Company sponsorship.
And did you all see the Grammy's? What did you think about show? I've heard so many complaints – too many performances, too many international winners, it wasn't interesting, there was no host, etc… I, personally, wasn't impressed. And did you see M.I.A. in that outfit, singing with Kanye, JayZ, Lil' Wayne, and T.I.? I was NOT ready.
And then there's the news about Chris Brown and Rihanna's alleged domestic abuse incident the morning of the Grammy Awards. This has been the talk of the entertainment world.
Lastly, have you seen these Obama look-a-like spoofs on Beyonce's Single Ladies and T.I.'s Whatever You Like? HILARIOUS! The gentleman (Iman Crosson) was on Entertainment Tonight last week. The clips are a must see

I have two points I want to comment on. Firstly about Phelps. I sure wish he hadn't done that. Although it hasn't marred my memories of watching him during the Olympics. (That relay was incredible!) it upsets me that I can't think of him now without that hovering in the background. Secondly about Rianna and Chris. I can't believe that she would go back to him after he beat and choked her. She looked terriable in the pictures I saw. Unbelieveable.
