  1. Hello Molly or Chantel,

My name is Sophie, and I have an editorial question about your website Youthcast.org. I work for Vocalo.org, an online podcasters resource and radio station from Chicago Public Radio that you may be familiar with.

On your front page http://youthcast.org/ I noticed that you list quite a few excellent web resources, especially for podcasters. We would be honored if you would include a link to Vocalo.org with the other sites you’ve listed for podcasters.

Vocalo is a community radio station that gets all of its audio footage from the public. We play a big role in Chicago radio and media, and our programs are available nationwide through podcasts on our website.

Our contributors are largely artistic, tech-curious people who are becoming familiar with radio, and have something to express to the Illinois/Indiana public on the radio waves. Vocalo.org is a bit like Hipcast or BlogAudio, offering podcasters and audio-enthusiasts opportunities to get their creative content or on the airwaves.

We’re also simply a place for any ordinary person to inform the masses about anything they think needs voice. The raw footage we get from the public is put together into cohesive radio shows that broadcast 24-7 to the public on 89.5 FM. Most of our shows have to do with current events and Chicago culture and politics, but our programming is live streamed all over the country.

Would you be willing to take a look at http://www.vocalo.org and include a link to it as you feel is merited? I am suggesting this in hopes that adding the link will be mutually beneficial for the audiences of both vocalo.org and youthcast.org.

If you have questions, please email me. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to hearing back from you!

    Sophie
